1ST Quarter_Week 2_Discussion
You now have the idea of how things affect one’s self. Knowing those factors, aspects, indicators, and ways to know yourself better was just an instrument to help you be able to meet and embrace your being.
Who you are, what you do, and what you have been through are ultimate reasons why you are unique from others. This activity will let you dig deeper by remembering some important aspects that made you who you are. You are opting to share your answers with your teacher/classmates.
(Answer the questions in 3-5 sentences):
1. What are the things or who are the people that/who make you feel confident?
My siblings have always believed in me even when I can’t believe in myself. They gave me the strength to feel confident even with all my flaws and insecurities. I used to be blind about these sorts of things that I wouldn’t even know about it if quarantine didn’t happen. I’m just thankful that I was born in the same family like them.
2. What makes you doubtful of yourself?
I feel doubtful of myself every time something goes horribly wrong and it was my fault. Of course, instead of wallowing in self-hate, I focus more on fixing the problem itself. Once the problem is resolved, however, my confidence is recovered but a piece of self-trust is chipped away.
3. How do the thoughts of other people about you affect your mood?
I take other people's opinions of me with a grain of salt. Whether they think highly or badly of me, I don't let their thoughts about me get to my head. I just use their opinions as a basis for self-reflection. This way, it will help me motivate myself to become better. In short, other people's opinion of me makes me feel motivated and inspired.
4. What is the biggest decision you have made in your life? How did that decision affect you and your decision-making?
The biggest decision I made would be the resolve to turn my life around. Before quarantine, I just live life as if it was something that I just need to get over with. Now, I have made goals for myself in order to use as a motivation in having a fulfilling life. These days, I exercise, eat well and I always try to keep my mind healthy.
