1ST Quarter_Week 7_ Assessment on Personal Development
1. How does each agent
influence you as a person?
My family is the first place to have ever given me
warmth. They were the ones who taught me some of the values, attitudes, and
beliefs that I still hold today. My parents taught me how to care for myself,
while my siblings taught me how to care for the people around me.
My peers gave me a wide understanding of how people my
age act and think. They gave me good memories and lessons about respect and
trust that I will take upon adulthood.
My teachers taught me many things. Some of them taught
me the value of patience and compassion, while some of them taught me the
graveness of the hypocrisy that some adults possess.
Lastly, the leaders of my community inspired me to
become a good member of our society. They taught me how corruption and greed
could affect anyone, no matter what social status they may have.
2. How
did they contribute to your personal development?
My
family has taught me that everything is not as they seem at a first glance.
Just because you see something, it doesn’t mean that you are actually seeing
the whole thing.
My parents gave me the lesson to never love
someone so blindly and to never let your pride get a hold of you to the point
that you’ve already lost your identity. Sometimes we have to step down in order
to move forward instead of holding on to something that hurts not just you, but
also the people around you.
Meanwhile, my siblings taught me that a
person’s sucks do not make another person’s sucks suck less. Our suffering is
not a competition. It doesn’t matter how much a person has suffered and the
gravity of a person’s agony does not and should not invalidate another person’s
feelings of agony. Not everything is a comparison game.
My
peers taught me the value of trust and respect that every person should have.
They made me realize how messed up my entire life was and how I needed to
change.
My
teachers taught me how two-faced some people can be. At one moment they’re
saying something and the next moment, they’re doing a completely different
thing. Thankfully, only a chosen few had made me feel this way. Most of them
gave me the joy of learning that every student should have.
Lastly,
our leaders have taught me how far a person’s greed could go. They taught me
that everything is not in black and white. It’s always a mix of both.
3. With their help, to what extent have
you improved in terms of emotional, intellectual, and social aspect?
With
their help, I have truly improved as a person. My family (parents and sibling),
alongside my peers, teachers, and leaders of the community, have elevated my
wellbeing in terms of the emotional, intellectual, and social aspects of life.
They gave me the ability to empathize with other people and to help those who
are in need. Not only that, but they also taught me how to interact with people
without offending them. Lastly, they gave me enough skills that I could use
when I enter society as a working adult.
