Based on the module, why is it important to have a firmer and gentler relationship in the family?
Having
a firmer and gentler relationship in the family will ensure that the
child/children will receive a strong emotional, social, and spiritual legacy
from their parents. It is necessary so that the child/children’s growth will be
fully nurtured. This is so that they can pass down these skills and learnings
to their future offspring.
First,
having a strong emotional legacy ensures that a child will become a confident
and emotionally stable adult. They will have a sense of trust and security to
have strong bonds with the people around them. On the other hand, having a weak
emotional legacy pits the child to become a self-conscious and untrusting
adult. This will give them a hard time forming lasting relationships with the
people around them.
Meanwhile,
having a strong social legacy ensures that a child will become a virtuous and
insightful adult. They will have the necessary understanding of respect and
personal boundaries to have a good social relationship with the people around
them. On the opposite end, having a weak social legacy will lead a child to
become an insensitive and disrespectful adult. They will have a hard time
keeping relationships because they will often offend or fight with other
people.
Lastly,
having a strong spiritual legacy is necessary for a child to have good faith in
God. A parent’s character reflects how a child will perceive God. Parents are
responsible for enforcing right and wrong to their kids. Their actions will
serve as their offsprings' moral compass for when they grow up. If parents
exhibit bad natures in the presence of their children, their children will copy
them.
